These terms apply to the Sleepwrist apps for iPhone and Apple Watch (the "app") and to the sleepwrist.app website. By using the app or the website, you agree to them. Because the app is distributed through the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If the two ever conflict, these terms apply to the extent allowed by Apple's agreement.

1. What Sleepwrist is, and what it is not

Sleepwrist reads sleep data recorded by your Apple Watch and helps you understand your nights in plain words.

Sleepwrist is a wellness app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or sleep disorder (including insomnia or sleep apnea), and its scores, insights and suggestions are not medical advice. Readings from wearables are estimates and can be wrong. Always talk to a doctor or qualified healthcare professional about your health, before changing any treatment, and if you have symptoms that worry you. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

The same applies to the guides on this website: they are general information, written carefully and with sources, but they do not replace personal medical advice.

2. Who can use Sleepwrist

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Sleepwrist. You need a compatible iPhone and Apple Watch, and you are responsible for the devices, software and connections you use.

3. Subscriptions and free trials

Sleepwrist is free to download. Its full features require a paid subscription purchased through your Apple Account.

  • Billing: payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you started one.
  • Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancel anytime: manage or cancel your subscription in iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • Free trials: if a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you purchase a subscription.
  • Refunds: purchases are handled by Apple, and refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Price changes: if the price of your subscription changes, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before renewing at the new price.

4. Your data

How we handle information is explained in our privacy policy. In short, your health data is analyzed on your devices and is never sold or shared.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Sleepwrist: for example, not to reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it, interfere with its operation, use it to break the law, or copy and resell its content.

6. Ask Wristy

Wristy's chat answers are generated on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence from your own sleep data. They can be incomplete or inaccurate. Don't rely on them for medical decisions.

7. Intellectual property

The app, the website, the Wristy character, texts, illustrations and design belong to Sleepwrist and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple's terms. Apple, Apple Watch, iPhone and Apple Health are trademarks of Apple Inc. Sleepwrist is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Sleepwrist running and improving, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or compatible with every device or software version. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering the app, active subscriptions will not renew.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sleepwrist is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on the app or the website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. If you keep using Sleepwrist after an update, the new terms apply.
